» What went wrong here between me and s...? please respond :\?
so i became friends with this guy, s, this year. we were really close for about a month. he told me things that were personal and i told him things that were personal. i kinda didn't want to be "just friends" but i didn't do anything to hint that. one day he just stops responding to me. he had just come back from west virginia and i said hi to him on aim and didn't get a response. i tried for days and he still wouldn't say anything. i told another friend about it who just happened to be a really close friend to s and s started talking to me. but it wasn't like it used to be. my other friend, b, had mixed things up and told s things i didn't ever want to tell him. 2 weeks ago he told me to "back off" so i have. ...... - 2009-07-04

» I'm getting married soon but don't want to wearing a wedding ring, what do you think?
it's not that i'm against the idea i just not comfort wearing rings. it would just irritate me.I think the most important thing on your wedding is your Marriage Vows because that is when you make promises to each other. The only purpose of the ring (other than the fact that it looks good) is that its the only way that people can tell that you are married, at a glance. It may also make your partner pleased to know you will both be wearing rings. You could have your ring engraved with your wedding date and you will never forget your anniversary! I hope that was helpful. all the best on your wedding. You should probably at least get a cheap one and wear it during the ceremony and reception so that you can have the traditional exch...... - 2009-07-04
» Christians: Why does creating someone automatically give you the right to kill them?
You say god created you so he can do anything he wants with you. Why? Explain that. Explain that? Wow, you actually need that explained? All will eventually die. It's God appointed. Worry about eternity rather than this puff of smoke we call life.If a painter decided to tear up his painting, does he have the right? If you wanted to tear it up, do you have the right? If an artist wants to smash HIS statue to pieces, does he have the right? Do you have the right to smash it to pieces? The creator has control over its creation. He can give life or death, slavery or freedom, health or sickness. How can a creation say what is a good creation or a bad creation? How can a creation be in control of another equal creation ("all men are crea...... - 2009-07-04
» Synchronizing music on a college network.
My hallmate and I both have very loud speakers, and always argue about who will play music. We want to link our computers so we can have both speakers going when one person plays music. I've tried internet radio, but the buffer time causes the music to be out of sync. The tricky part is that she has a Mac and I have a Dell. We are on are both on the college network. We both use itunes, and the synchronizing media player would have to work on both my PC and her Mac (ibook G4). I understand computers fairly well, but any networking details would have to be broken down into steps. If any other information is needed, let me know. Who ever can solve this problem will be my hero.I have a solution for you (I think O_o). Have you ever consid...... - 2009-07-04
» canon 35mm camera or new lenses?
I'm going to be taking a photography class where an all-manual camera is required. I have a nikon f3, which i love (i actually spent very little money on my lenses, and i'm having to pay for it. my photos are consistently soft, and I'm pretty darn sure it's not because i'm focusing wrong http://www.texasphotoforum.com/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif ). I'm saving up for a 20d and a couple lenses, so i'm wondering if after the class i should buy a nice autofocus (which i know is partly the lens and the camera), but nothing too pricey, probably something under $250 or $300, so probably not a professional camera, just a sturdy one. Do you think i should save up for that so i can use the lenses I buy for my 20d with it or do you think i should jus...... - 2009-07-04

» HOW DO I MAKE IT PAIN FREE(nipple piercing)?????
i have had this feeling for ages about having a nipple pierced with a bar or a ring but i think it will hurt like hell ,is there a way to stop the pain altogether?????You can get a freezing spray which numbs the area and stops the actual piercing hurting but this can delay healing and you could still feel it afterwards. If your doing it yourself they're's no way to stop it hurting, even if you do the ice cube thing. Basically do you want your nipple pierced enough to put up with a bit of pain? Some piercers will use freeze spray, this basically makes the area go very cold, and numb.. They use it in hospitals. That might help. Some self piercers will use ice for the same effect but he spray is quicker and more hygenic. Other...... - 2009-07-04

» Can wisdom teeth cause my gum to be sore?
My upper gum have been sore for 2 weeks now. I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed in 3 weeks. They didn't grow yet, and where my gum hurts isn't really where my wisdom teeth are supposed to grow anyway? I also get headaches very often. I brush my teeth twice a day, and floss everyday.Wisdom teeth can make your gums sore, but only where they are trying to come through the gum. You might have some kind of infection in your gums or since they are bleeding when you brush you might have gum disease. I personally use Listerine every day because I also had a problem with bleeding and sensitive gums. It kind of burns a little, but to me it's better than seeing a dentist all the time. Since I have been using the Listerine, my gum...... - 2009-07-04
» Searching for specific hotmail users
How do I find info (such as a profile, or info about when they joined, or when profile was last updated, etc.) about a specific hotmail user? What I have are several hotmail email addresses, and I'd like to verify that they are "real" and, if they are, when they were created. I need to do this in a way other than by simply emailing them. The brief answer: You can't. I doubt that Microsoft will publish this data. ScriptorScriptor - thanks. Is this something unique to Microsoft? Yahoo, for example, allows you to search its members database. Hotmail has a similar feature, but it's too specific. I can't do general searches based on their interests, but it also doesn't pull anything up when I enter in the email addres...... - 2009-07-04

Just a candid shot for a coworker early this week. I thought it was decent for poor light and not being prepared. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y298/NikolaiGMFS/pris1finalcr.jpgThat much is true: it is a nice, friendly, open smile photo for being candid, in poor light, and totally unprepared. I miss some light in her eyes, though. The given light made them all black, hollow and undefined. That is the risk with spontaneous, given-light-only portraits. But her smile REACHES her eyes, I can see as much, and that is GOOD!That much is true: it is a nice, friendly, open smile photo for being candid, in poor light, and totally unprepared. » selling photographs yourself
My question is How would one go about selling independently? Is it a good start to rent a space at a art/craft fair? Also, How would I price the pictures? ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!I am actually working on starting this myself. I am looking into my local art center first since they have show rooms of art for sale. I plan on finding out what it takes to enter a piece, and if the profits are whole (you get whatever the customer pays) or if they take a percentage for hosting it. I'll let you know how that turns out.I know artists who make their entire living from selling at arts and crafts fairs. the key is picking the right fairs. Figuring out pricing is very individual, but I'd start out with at least your cost to ma...... - 2009-07-04

Hello, I created a template in Word with a company logo header, and company contact information as the footer. Everything works fine EXCEPT when the text goes onto page 2, 3 etc. The template still applies. I want the template only to apply to the 1st page and any other page to be a typical blanc document. I don't see any way to do this in Office 2k or XP ... can anyone help?? ThanksOpen a blank document or template, go to Page Setup/Layout tab and check Different First Page in the Header/Footer section, then insert your header or footer. If you check Different First Page *after* you insert your header/footer, it will wind up on subsequent pages and you'll have to cut and paste it to the first page. » Taco Bell, McDonalds, Burger King of KFC for lunch today ?
Taco Bell, McDonalds, Burger King of KFC for lunch today ? Taco Bell would be Taco Supreme Meal MacDon would be a Big Mac meal BK would be a double whopper meal KFC would be spicy big crunch with poutine I'm at work right now, and as you can tell, I really deserve a lunch break ;) Personally I went to McDonald's for lunch today so that would be my recommendation. -SHonestly I feel the only somewhat healthier option is Taco Bell. McDonalds and Burker King is waaayyy too unhealthy. And although KFC is made of chicken, usually their chicken is fried.. and fried chicken is not healthy. http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b178/amaoricangirl/656.jpg The family wanted their pic taken in the snow, I was trying something new and came back with this as an idea, Does the angle and framing work for you or is it too busy? Its a neat Idea and i like the shot for the most part, but the real white snow in the bottom right of the image isn't really doing anything for me.There's still a little detail in the corner, but not much. I don't mind how bright it is, I just think there's too much of it. I guess a bag is pretty much a bag, just figured it's worth asking first. Thanks.Canon doesn't make bags (AFAIK)...it's just re-branded. I would suggest looking at Lowepro, Crumpler, Tamrak etc.the tamrac 5608 looks pretty sweet, although it's double the price.I have no idea of the quality of that Canon bag...it might be OK but maybe not. » What is the advantage (to god) in having each person experience god differently?
I understand you believe god gave people free will, and because of free will, people have different beliefs. Yet, even amongst people with the same beliefs, there is still argument about what the experience of god feels like. So my question is, if god is all-powerful, and does in fact manifest his presence to faithful people, why doesn't he bestow upon the believers a singular, common, "godly" experience, so that when two, or a dozen, or a million, or a billion people say, "I've felt god's presence" there is no question that they're all feeling the same thing? Wouldn't this serve to unite and strengthen the bond of humanity between these people, and thus help promote god's agenda of universal peace and lo...... - 2009-07-04

Sky Sports (http://skysports.planetfootball.com/list.asp?hlid=298892&cpid=8&CLID=30&lid=&title=Okocha+in+new+Qatar+link&channel=premiership) Interesting to see this come up again and the idea of him leaving is a strange one, but Ł2.5mil is Ł2.5 mil for a play who is getting on an prehaps is beginning to lack match fitness even he looks like he knows that the premiership might be gettin a little hard for him. But hes a class player an excelent midfielder and brilliant set piece specialist, and at a time that we need players can we afford to see him go. Sam might be able to bring in a couple of players for that amount but would be hard and he probably would have been more tempted 6 months ago. » Blocking Netbios Traffic on Cisco Router
I need to block the Netbios traffic from one specific server from being routed to our other subnets. Here's some background: We have a Windows-based network that spans over 3 locations, each connected by T1. We (still) use WINs for some name resolution, so completely blocking Netbios at the router level is not an option. However, we installed a new point-of-sale server at one location and will be installing identical servers at the other two locations. It is important that they not see each others Netbios traffic, though. The software is using Netbios to announce it's location for the point-of-sale lanes to find the server, and we don't want a register at one location to attach to a server at another location. ...... - 2009-07-04

» Shutter Speed and Aperture Settings
Alright, I'm sure it's somewhere in this forum on how to do it but I just don't understand most of this talk. I'm trying to do light graffiti with slow shutter speeds and wide aperture. I don't understand that. I have a Canon Rebel Gii 35mm SLR camera and I can't figure out how to set a shutter speed from 5-30 seconds. I think I know how to change the aperture to the widest settings, 32 is as far as it will go up I think. So with that said, how do I set the shutter speed from 5-30 seconds? In fact, I don't have a 5 second, it goes 12346810 and so on. This is confusing to me but I really wanna take some awesome light graffiti pictures.OK, Adam, for just this once you have my personal permission to set the shutter speed from 6-30 secon...... - 2009-07-04

Nikon Cool pix 10.0hi, i have been into photography for a long time and i would have to say, i would not spend money on that because i am a big fan of canon, canon have very good cameras from digital slr, to just a plain digital camera if you like photography allot i would recommend if you can afford it a digital slr by earthier nikon or canon because these cameras are very high quality and would out perform those little lenses any day but if you are just looking for a camera to have while your a a party or with friend or traveling i would suggest a canon Digital camera because they do not take as good pictures as a slr but are very compact and will do the job for an average person that doesn't want to start a carer or really want to g...... - 2009-07-04

» Handwritten Japanese characters - translation needed
Hi folks, Some years ago my sister repaired quite an old piece of needlework and out of the backing she pulled a long piece of paper, covered in handwritten characters. She renewed the paper and so gave the old piece to me. I just wondered if anyone could translate from the small fragment I have scanned (below), what the nature of the writing is about? Thanks in advance for your help. Kind Regards, Cycle. My spouse and I think it looks like somebody was practicing their writing. We could recognize three words -- tansan, takenoko and ame. Many of them written multiple times as if in practice. Also the bottom two rows are oriented opposite of the top row. Since practicing calligraphy is common, especially years ago, that's ...... - 2009-07-04

Any ideas? You are looking at an onEnterFrame with a sin and cos equation. The lines are just curveTo's. Other than that just a good use of randRange:)unfortunately i dont have that kind of knowledge with the new a/s yet.. :(Go buy a book, "Flash Math Creativity" from FOE(pink spine). » Can you return concert tickets?- i don't like where i am sitting?
My brother brought concert tickets today, but I hate where we have been seated, so i was wondering can you return concert tickets and then buy new ones in a better area of the concert hall? Also: Can you choose where you wish to be seated? or does the ticket seller just give you any seats? You can't return them to the concert venue - you will have to sell the privately. And yes, you can choose your own seats when you go to the window to buy them - and even over the phone with agents you can tell them where you want to sit and they will tell you whats available. You can ask to be seated in a specific area before you buy, but once the sale is rung up, it is too late. You an always try to but tickets where you want to sit, then ...... - 2009-07-04
» Dr. Fedson- consider statins - "Bird flu vaccine '10 years away' "
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/5132910.stm Bird flu vaccine '10 years away' By Matt McGrath Science reporter, BBC News Avian flu experts meeting in Paris have been told that a viable vaccine against the human form of the disease could take 10 years to develop. Dr David Fedson, a retired professor of medicine, told the conference that there were well-documented problems with the H5N1 virus when it came to making a vaccine. Scientists normally grow such a vaccine from an inert form of a virus, using chicken eggs as their favourite growing medium. According to Dr Fedson, who also worked for a number of years in the vaccine manufacturing industry, the vaccine produced from H5N1 was proving particularly diff...... - 2009-07-04

H7N3 in Saskatchewan Canada Recombinomics Commentary September 27, 2007 Highly pathogenic H7N3 avian influenza has been detected in a commercial poultry operation in Saskatchewan, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) announced today. H7N3 is not normally associated with serious human illness. The above comments from the press release from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency confirm HPAI H7N3 in Canada. The comment on human illness has two qualifiers, which have been dropped from media reports. H7N3 is easily transmitted from birds to humans as well as human-to-human. However, most infections are mild and assays for H7 genetic information in healthy host (birds or people) is abysmal, Antibody ...... - 2009-07-04

It has only been a week today, however my doctor gave me the ok to go back to work. I am only a secretary so no lifting, no straining, and I just sit at a desk. Now I know vB isn't GPL, but how is it that vB is able to bypass the MySQL commercial license (per server per year)?Jelsoft are not suppling Mysql, just saying its a requirement. The Blessed Virgin Mary must have felt very pleased when she was sexually or spiritually "overcome" like in an orgasmic experience by the power of God the Holy Ghost! She was a teenager in full puberty. She was very eagerly submitting to the advances of the proxy agent Saint Gabriel that God the Holy Ghost sent to fix a deal with her. » Dream Team coming to FSW
Just saw the commercial. It appears to be some sort of drama series, based on an English football club. They say its a big hit in the UK. Anyone care to explain the story line?I sure hope not. I love that FSW focusses most of its programming on soccer, but the important thing is that it SHOWS the games-many of them-often repeatedly. I just don't want FSW to go the route of ESPN and MTV, by programming whatever appeals to the demographic that happens to watch the channel, rather than what it initially intended to show. If this turns out to be what it sounds like, I may have to send an e-mail their way, requesting another game rerun or FSW Report rather than a drama series. The first show is on February 4On the positive side at least ...... - 2009-07-04

DOOM III (OLD IS GOLD BUT NEW IS BETTER IF NOT GOOD) At first glance Doom III has a legacy that most game donâ ™t dare even to think of (Doom the most played game of all time). It is very difficult for me to comment on this master piece of a game. Id softwareâ ™s games generally do appeal to fans because they put next generation technology into their games. I shoot sporting events like marathons where I generally need my D200 or D100 mounted vertically on my monopod for thousands of shots. This is easy when I'm using my longer lens with a collar but a pain with my shorter collarless lenses. I don't like to use my ball head as the vertical orientation flops the camera off center from the monopod. I am experimenting with having a simple steel L bracket made locally. It seems to be working but I'm looking for others that might want to try it out and give me feedback. This will not take the place of the expensive units for use with Kirk etc. It is just a simple inexpensive bracket. Let me know if you are interested and we'll talk. Ok his title reigns are what we complain about, but shouldn't deny the fact the he IS a big deal, as everyone can't use their opportunities well like he did. Ridgid has had such a huge impact on the plumbing and pipefitting industry throghout its history that a section devoted to discontinued tools would be wonderful. The site would be educational as well as enjoyable for tool buffs. This section would make it easy for tradesmen with older tools that have been passed down to be able to date as well as allow us to know what new tools have taken their place. » I need to know how to figure out how much water weighs,?
so I can set up a very large aquarium without it self destructing and flooding the room it's in. Its 12 by 18 by 30 inches and I was told it held forty gallons.I'm going to guess that your aquarium is 18" high in that case you would only fill it up to 16" so 12x30x16=5,760 cubic inches and there are 231 cubic inches per gallon, so 5,760/231=24.93 gallons. Water weighs 8.33 lbs. per gallon, so 24.93x8.33=207.67 pounds, plus the weight of the tank and any other items attached. Here's a handy site for you - its an aquarium volume calculator, and you can add in not only the tank, but all the other gadgets that go inside it, to get your total volume, etc - http://reef.diesyst.com/volcalc/volcalc.... I've been opticians today, and both of my eyes have gone from 2.50 to 2.75. Is this bad? Or is it just slightly? It's just a 0.25 increase...that is the smallest increase possible, so no, it isn't a big change. It is completely normal for near sightedness ( myopia) to increase like that. Consider yourself lucky it is such a small change. 0.25 of a diopter is one of the smallest increments that optometry corrects for. Often times optomotrists will write a prescription for this small amount to sell a new pair of glasses. The trouble is that we pay doctors when something is wrong, so in order for them to make a living they have to come up with some wrong things. If you would refer to my post," here are my questions everyone", you'll get the gist of what this is about. For Kiyoko, I'm considering adding a subplot for her where she either discovers or had recently discovered that she was descended, through the female line, from a tradition of female Japanese ninja of sorts, dating back to the 1400s or so. One of the elements of this is her mother's ninja sword. Basically my question is, how plausible, (or likely) is that the sword could have been something that was passed down through the generations, from mother to daughter to granddaughter, etc..., through out all that time? Could a ninja sword (assuming it was of the highest quality when it was made) even survive that long up to the pres...... - 2009-07-04

I called down to the Everglades National Park and talked to one of the park personnel about what they do in that area to help prevent mosquito bites. This is what came out of the conversation: The person I talked to used bug repellents with Deet. The person I talked to had developed sensitivity to Deet and when it was inevitable that they had to go out in mosquito weather they sprayed their clothing not their skin. Repellent may have to be reapplied every 6 to 8 hours or more depending on how much they sweet. They mentioned some people down there do use Avon Skin So Soft. The person I talked to did not like the smell of it and did not use it. They also wore long sleeves and baggy lightweight clothing along with socks and s...... - 2009-07-04

» Pneumonia and severely demented patients: a view
Source: http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/default.asp?page=2008%5C04%5C03%5Cstory_3-4-2008_pg3_5 VIEW: No diseases for old men —Peter Singer Pneumonia used to be called “the old man’s friend” because it often brought a fairly swift and painless end to a life that was already of poor quality. Now a study of severely demented patients in Boston-area nursing homes shows that the “friend” is often being fought with antibiotics. Such practices raise the obvious question: are we routinely treating illnesses because we can, rather than because we ought to? Pneumonia used to be called “the old man’s friend” because it often brought a fairly swift and painless end to a life that was already of poor quality and would otherwise have continued to d...... - 2009-07-04
» KATRINA/RITA VICTIMS CHARITY DVD
This idea was a hit last year and produced thousands of dollars towards the tsunami relief effort a year ago. A sequel was briefly mulled over earlier this year but never got off the ground. I think we have a pretty damn good reason to re-think this idea. I don't know about video production, but I'm guessing there will be a long line of chasers (including me) who would be willing to donate 2005 video for the project. If anyone's interested and makes this happen, I'm in.I'd definitely be interested in helping out with this... I have shot >20hrs of video from late April thru late June this year. Therefore, I have a wide variety of different material I could donate to this production. BTW If nobody wants to do the actual production itse...... - 2009-07-04
» The true Global Warming culprit ... real Christmas trees?
Sorry, I had to carry this over from the real/fake xmas tree debate going on in Polls and Surveys. I was just posting my lighthearted opinion on the tradition and wonderful smell of real trees, when I noticed another user's answer: "fake - real trees leave needles all over the place and contribute to global warming when they are cut down". Now, I have no problem with people who use fake trees. You are entitled to your own preferences the same as I. But to get holier-than-thou on those who chose authentic trees was just enough to spark my rebuttal: "Nicki- Real trees contribute to global warming!?!? What do you think the factories making those fake trees do for global warming? In the meantime, evergreen farmers are reduc...... - 2009-07-04
» Is a guys body a big deal to a women? (Ex. arm, chest, ab muscles?)?
Im just wondering some womens opinons..lose the glasses lolll but it really depends on the person. we dont expect all guys to have 6 packs basically a flat stomatch is good for meOn my opinion. No.It helps for a guy to have a good body, but it doesn't have to be great. It's nice if he has some muscles. However, he could be great looking but if he's a jerk I wouldn't want to go out with him.yeeeppp deffinetly.well as long as your not a fat slop who is just lazy then you dont have to be a perfect ten to be the perfect guy. girls who say that looks matter than much to them are shallow and worthless anyways so their opinion shouldnt matter. as long as you try and you make a real effort thats all that matter. some peoples g...... - 2009-07-04
» The Bride's Profile (1 pic)
One pic from a bridal session the other day. A few more on the way a lil later. Thanks. http://www.tngphoto.com/myspace/bridal.jpg The thing that I'm wondering if I'm the only one noticing is her ear. Do you think I should tone it down a bit so it doesn't distract from the pattern on her face? It looks like her face isn't entirely at a profile but turned at a slight angle away from the camera so I feel like the ear is drawing attention away even though it isn't that bright. Am I crazy or what? Maybe I'll try photoshopping the hair to completely cover the ear...any thoughts?I think it looks greatLooks Great! I love the lighting. And the ear...didn't even notice.Wow, thats an excellent looking image. I cant say that the ear sticks out alot...... - 2009-07-04
» I've had swelling in the veins near my left testicle is this a problem?
after i masturbate my veins on my left side next to the testicle get swelled like a bag of worms and there is a little pain. it usually goes away after a few hours, but now it has been a day and it still hasn,t. i looked online and i think it may be varicocele, but only after masturbation. i dont think that it is testicular torsion becuase there is not severe pain and it happens a lot. i know its not an std becuase i have never had sex. can someone please help me fast? This is something that a doctor should evaluate. You could have hard veins in your scrotum which isn't lethal but it can be annoying. Depending on your medical history you might consider taking an aspirin everyday. This may help. » Questions on quashing run warrant?
My kid, who is a ward of the state, turns 18 next week. He has been on the run from foster care for 6 weeks and has an arrest warrant out. The court documents say the warrant will be "quashed" when he turns 18. How will I know the warrant is no longer valid on the books? Can I go by a copy of the court order? Do I need to get something else? Please helpIf the warrant was entered as a status offense, the computer recognized he was a juvenile. The warrant is automatically purged on his 18th birthday. A status offense is something that is illegal simply because your age, such as being a runaway....... - 2009-07-04

» Who loves the other more, Romeo or Juliet (give three arguments)?
They both love each other in different ways, but for true love, I'd say Juliet loves Romeo more, since she's willing to disobey and leave her family (although she's quite an obedient daughter). Romeo on the other hand seems more driven by lust and infatuation at the beginning. Although Juliet is more-level headed, I think that emphasises how much she loved him, especially at the end when she takes her own life, as a life without Romeo is not one worth living.Juliet--She's not on the rebound (like Romeo from Rosalyn) Romeo--He's not just trying to escape an arranged marriage (like Juliet and her fiance)...... - 2009-07-04
